My first jewelry trunk show!

After a year of having fun making jewelry, I've been talked into selling it. The first store that has taken my jewelry on consignment is Graphic Traffic at Plaza Frontenac. My first trunk show was last Friday. Being the day before Passover was not the best choice but it went quite well despite the mall looking like a morgue most of the day! With Jeanne and Marianne as my beautiful models, Bev as an unsolicited but fabulous salesperson, (and Jordan occasionally asking people walking by if they wanted to see some beautiful jewelry) how could I miss? I must admit I still enjoy the creative process much more than the business side of my new venture.

,
All in all, it was a very exciting experience for me and I've agreed to do another one on May 7, the day before Mother's Day. Hopefully, the mall will be more crowded and I'll do even better than my first show.

Saying Goodbye to Disney

Since I couldn't get our pictures of the last day of our trip to work on the previous entry, I'm going to try to put them here and see what happens. So...here is the ending to "The Magical World of Disney!'. Please read it after reading about the "Magical World of Disney."

Sadly, our week's cruise had to come to an end. Even the long, exhausting trip home couldn't erase our wonderful time and memories. Can't wait until the next cruise!

Magical World of Disney!

We recently went on our first family cruise on the Disney Magic. Besides having a fabulous time with Marianne, Steve, Jordan and Allison, it was very exciting seeing all the "Magic of Disney" through the childrens' eyes. Luckily, we were all well and the kids couldn't have been better. As usual, we took tons of pictures and even though Allison either gave a fake smile, wouldn't smile or look at the camera, and Jordan still couldn't quite understand how to pose (other than tilt his head, shrug up his shoulders, stick out his hip, give a stiff fake smile, and look sideways), we managed to capture the "Magical World of Disney!"

From the moment the kids arrived at the St. Louis airport pulling their luggage, I knew this was going to be a very special and exciting week for all of us.

Even embarkation was made fun with the Disney characters posing with the children.

This started the week of nonstop smiling, excitement, fun, and new experiences for the kids. They loved exploring the ship...

Playing shuffleboard (no pictures),... meeting all of the Disney characters, starting with a fun character breakfast...

camp, ...

the deck parties,...

the theme parties, like Pirates of the Caribbean night...

Some relaxation and fun at the pools...

the fabulous shows at night,...

fun at the 3 different restaurants and having Godwin (who Allison kept calling "God"), our server, perform magic tricks at every meal,...

This is what Steve got when he said he wanted "nothing" for dessert! Then Jordan learned one of Marianne's old tricks.

our fun last dinner and yummy desert...

dressing up for semiformal and Formal night,...

coming back to the room at night to see the amazing towel creations,...

being on the "red carpet" and on live TV and singing at the Golden Mickeys show,...

just "hanging out together"

going to the various ports like Key West, where we went to an aquarium, on a city tour, and to their famous Sunset Party,...

Grand Cayman, where we went on a submarine and to the beach for the first time,...

Cozumel, where Marianne & Steve went snorkling and to a Botanical Garden,...

and, on the last day, to Disney's Island, Castaway Cay, where Marianne and Allie got their hair braided (for 1 and 1/2 hours!), Jordan & Steve went kite flying, and Art & I went bike riding. The kids loved the beach, collecting shells and making sand castles....
