Fun at the apple/pumpkin farm!

Yesterday was a beautiful, warm fall day. While Marianne and Steve enjoyed the wineries in Augusta, we took Jordan and Allison to Mill's Apple Farm in Illinois. We were the only ones there and had a great time going on a wagon ride, playing with the dogs and tons of ladybugs, and checking everything out including the pumpkin patch. The kids didn't want to leave but after buying 3 pies, candied apples and pumpkins, I knew if we didn't leave soon, we'd buy out the store!

Our trip to New York

Last weekend, we went to New York to see Andy and his family and his new apartment. The girls are so beautiful, smart, sweet, and a lot of fun to watch and be with. They love books, going to the playground, zoo, and for walks in their neighborhood.

We enjoyed playing inside with the girls and seeing them play with the new toys we brought them. Here are some random pictures...

Andy also took us into Manhattan one afternoon to see his office, eat at Second Avenue Deli, and see Ground Zero. It was great to see him again and get to see how much our granddaughters have changed and developed into such fun loving girls! They really amazed us with how much they knew. Although the pictures don't really reflect the silly side of Annelie's personality, they do show Marin's amazing staring abilities as well as both girls strong concentration skills!

Fall Fun

We have had lots of fall fun these past two weeks. Last weekend was Jordan's friend Jake's 5th birthday party, held at the pumpkin patch. His cousin Lindsey is in Jake's class, so they got to spend some quality time together. Then we had the Fall Fling at school which was lots of fun. Then it was back to the pumpkin patch this weekend with Jordan's friend Sophie and her family. It's been great weather and the kids really love all the fall activities. Sorry for all the photos, but there were a lot of cute things there!

Sliding fun

We went to the playground today and snapped a few pictures of Marin and Annelie on the slides. They had a great time. The only trouble is, they like it so much that they cry when we have to leave.
