Allison's 3rd Birthday

Hard to believe, but our baby Allison just turned three years old. She had several celebrations including one at school, one with the family during Rosh Hoshana dinner, and then a birthday party with her friends at the Little Gym. Here are some photos from school (I brought her favorite princess bear and read the kids a story about a Princess Bear) and from her gymnastics party.

First Days

Here are a few photos from the kids' first day of preschool (both are going 5 days now. Yeah!) and also a few from Allison's first day of dancing school.

An exciting Yom Kippur!

Each year, Yom Kippur becomes more fun and exciting. After dinner, we were entertained by Jordan and Allison on the "drums" and recorder.

While Marianne and I cleaned up, the deafening noise of the musicians lulled the Dads asleep! Real men sleep through anything!

As usual, I tried to take a picture with the kids (without waking the sleeping men) but only Jordan cooperated.

The next night the children came to the table as construction workers to eat their dessert. Notice the genteel way Allison eats!

Even though the kids only ate soup and dessert and Marianne and Jordan didn't feel well, we managed to enjoy ourselves, especially the kids!

Scary moment at school!

Here is a picture of Allison taken the first day of school. We can't quite figure out what this expression is all about. Could the clay really be that scary?

Vergilia, Adriane, Howard, Alex, and the Museum of Natural History

We had a busy weekend. Vergilia came in to visit, and Adriane, Howard, and Alex, who recently moved to Washington D.C. also stopped by. That weekend we went by the Long Island Railroad to the Museum of Natural History, and met up with my friend Adam, and his friends Bruce & Babs, and their two-year-old Bennet. We took some photos, but many of them didn't come out so well due to the low light in the museum. But anyway, enjoy the ones that turned out ok!

Wedding Weekend

This weekend our cousin Jeffrey Brown married one of my high school friends, Amy Fenster. They were so nice to include our family in all of the weekend's festivities, including having Steve be an usher and Jordan and Allison walk down the aisle. The whole weekend was amazing and the kids were on cloud nine in their fancy clothes. They loved all the attention. Here is a photo taken before the rehearsal dinner and then many more from the wedding itself. What a great time!
