Grandma and Grandpa visit California

Last week, Grandma and Grandpa came to visit California to see the us and the twins. The grandparents and the twins had lots of fun playing together. Annelie even learned how to wave goodbye (but she forgot the next day).

Knowing how much Grandma likes to take photos, we have countless photos of this trip, many of them excellent. But since they will post their own photos, I will post only the ones I took with my own camera, which isn't much. After they post their entry, I think I will post another entry with more pictures.

But enough explanation. Here are those cute pictures, click to enlarge:

Our trip to San Mateo

After 3 days at home, I left to go to San Mateo to finally see my newest grandchildren again! It was so amazing to see how much they had changed.

Both girls are so amazingly good natured, beautiful, get along great, and manage to amuse themselves as well as anyone who is around.

When Grandpa came, the girls were very interested in him and enjoyed listening to him while he talked.

Both girls love to eat, play with their toys as well as each other, hang out with the family, and go for long walks.

Time out for a little Baby Einstein...

Now, for a little hiking...

Sadly our trip had to come to an end but we're looking forward to seeing Andy, Greta, Annelie & Marin again as soon as possible.

Busy August

The first week of August, Art, his brother, Martin, and I went to Chicago on the way to Toronto for a family wedding. We got to visit with Alan and his wife, Eve

Art and I stayed with my college roommate and close friend, Aline, and her new husband, Don.

Aline and I always did have similar taste!

After a few days, we flew to Toronto to see Art's cousin, Gilbert and wife, Joyce, and to attend their daughter's beautiful wedding.

Trip to the Zoo

On Sunday morning, we went to the St. Louis Zoo for a class for Jordan called "Come Play with Me". We learned all about how animals play, we played games like the animals do and even got to meet a goat, a RAT, a ferret and a lorikeet. Then we all went on the Carousel and headed home since it was over ninety degrees out. At least we're putting our zoo membership to use this summer!

Float Trip

Last weekend Steve and I went with 9 of our ADULT friends (yeah!) on a float trip down the Black River. We stayed at a place called Wilderness Lodge overnight which gave us a great dinner and breakfast. We all had a great time floating, relaxing, drinking, playing board games, making S'mores and just hanging out together. Here is a collection of photos including the men trying to snorkel and catch crawfish, Mark jumping off a tree, a moth that was strangely attached to Joey's hat, the crowds on the river, and a snake eating a squirrel, right outside our cabin!

Miscellaneous pictures

Nothing really has happened in the past month. The girls are sitting up now, and babbling a bit. It's been a month since the last pictures, so here's the latest. As usual, click to see the larger version.

The Wonderful Wiggles Concert

The most exciting thing to happen to the Chervitz family lately (sadly enough) was a visit from the kids favorite group, The Wiggles, all the way from Australia. Jordan has been talking about this for months. We went with most of the children from our playgroup, a few from school and our friends Gayle and Jake. Jordan never stopped dancing and Allison joined in too. I took a lot of pictures of Jordan's idol, Murray, for him. Like Murrray, Jordan wears a red shirt EVERY day and plays his guitar in his honor! It was such a thrill for the kids to see them up close and in person. Here are pictures from the concert.
