Allison at the park

Today was a beautiful day so Marianne and Allison met their friends Dani and Josie at a great new park. Here are some photos of Allison having fun and giving hugs and kisses to her friend Josie. That kiss looks pretty intense!

Summertime Fun

Here are a few photos of Jordan in his camp shirt (He loves camp!), the kids in their new Barbie car (courtesy of Aunt Debbie and Uncle Gary) and the two of them enjoying juice boxes while sitting IN a box.

Miscellaneous cute pictures

The kids are starting to grow up a bit. Marin started rolling over last weekend, and they both are practicing sitting up. Here are some photos from the past few weeks. The one with Annelie with a towel around her head was not some sort of setup, she somehow put the towel around her head on her own. Wow, already playing dress-up...

Father's Day, 2003

It's not easy to get good pictures with Jordan and Allison but they must have known that this was a special holiday for their Grandpa Art!

Got your nose

Marin's favorite activity: grabbing my nose.

She also enjoys putting her hand in my mouth, but I don't have any pictures of that.

Uncle Augustus visits, babies eat vegetables

Greta's brother Augustus came into town for a week from Trinidad. We haven't seen him since our wedding, almost 4 years ago. He was very happy to meet his nieces, and they were happy to meet him too - except Marin who took about a day to get used to him. We went to Muir Woods with him. This is our third attempt to go there, the first was a long time ago, before I was married, with my future mother-in-law (we were running too late driving down Highway 1 to San Francisco to go), the second was with Greta's sister Vergilia (I lost my gas cap on the way there, and both Greta and her sister insisted it was very dangerous, and I should go back home). This time we made it, though.

While he was there, the babies started to eat vegetables. Their first was sweet potato, which they are still eating now.

Wiggle Time

Jordan and his friends are very into the children's singing group, The Wiggles. His friend Seth had a "Wiggles" party and Steve was recruited to be an honorary Wiggle for the event. He and 3 other dads from our playgroup even performed 3 songs for the group! The kids dressed as their favorite Wiggle, colored wiggle pictures and even got Wiggle Safari hats and plastic guitars. What fun!

Fun at the Zoo

We signed Allison and Jordan each up for a class at the zoo. This weekend was Allie's class. She had lots of fun singing songs and doing art projects about animals and even got to touch a few live ones! The kids saw bears, the new penguin exhibit and even got big balloons (which Jordan let go of before we even made it home).

Sitting up and a new baby

We're trying to get the kids to learn how to sit by themselves. They have varying success, their balance on the whole isn't too good. But they sure look cute, even when they fail!

Also, they got a new toy, actually an old crying baby doll that my boss Kevin gave me when my kids were born. He wanted it to keep me company, and remind me what I was missing when I was at work. It cries, and says "mama", and laughs. But I find it's not very realistic, the crying sounds like a 2 month old, saying "mama" probably comes at around a year, and the way it laughs is more like a 2 year old then anything else. But the kids don't know any better, and it's fun for them right now.
